The Sharks swim club in Stony Plain is offering 1 free trial week for kids who are interesting in swimming! On Thursday April 12th from 5:30-8:30, there will be a registration event for the season at PERC Building (5413-51 Street). They are also offering a “suit swap” for those with old team swim suits in good condition for a new suit! Hoping to see many faces there.

Beach Volleyball Season is almost here! The Tri Area Warriors Team will be accepting registration for teams starting this Friday, April 13th for their June & July season. For our athletes in the Stony Plain, Spruce Grove & Parkland County areas, there will be chances to register individually for $45/person or as a team of 2 for $90! Stony Plain’s Chamber of Commerce is now hiring for its summer positions! They are offering 3 full time positions to young students in high school or post secondary students. This Fathers Day weekend, the Heritage Pavilion in Stony Plain will be hosting a Classic Car & Collectible Auction! Saturday June 16th is the “Show & Shine”, and Sunday the 17th is the auction itself. On the Sunday there will also be a pancake breakfast! Stony Plain will be hosting an Art Walk for local talent on Canada Day at Heritage Park! They are currently taking applications, open to musicians, spoken word poets, artists and performance artists. Each participant can receive a 10X10 space for a $40 price for the day. Come for a chance to show your talents as social media, print and radio advertisements will be at the event! Monday February 19 from 10am-4pm, Spruce Grove’s Winter Fest will be held at Columbus Park, on McLeod Avenue. This even is jam packed with prizes to be won and activities like horse & wagon rides, an ugly toque contest, a full street hockey tournament, curling and more! Not to forget the free breakfast to the first 400 people. Hope to see you there for all the family fun!

Come on down to Stony Plain’s Family Fest on December 31, 2017 at Heritage Park! This New Years Eve fun for the whole family event is always lots of fun! Our office will have our RE/MAX tent set up and have donated hot chocolate, marshmallows and cups so that everyone can enjoy a nice hot cup of coco during this super fun event! Please remember to bring a non-perishable food item to support our local food bank. Let’s have a blast ringing in 2018 with our family, friends and community!

The Town is encouraging residents to carpool and to park off site and walk. There is limited parking available at Heritage Park. Please dress for the weather!
As all of the Family Fest activities are free, the event relies heavily on donations from the community.
Please bring a non-perishable food-item as a donation to the Parkland Food Bank.
